Ljubuski
LJUBUŠKI belongs to the coastal, Mediterranean and lowland Herzegovina. On the south and west are borders with Metkovic and Vrgorac in the Republic of Croatia, on the north with the Grude and Siroki Brijeg, and on the east with Capljina and Citluk. Municipality area by the river Trebizat has an average altitude of 100 meters, and the area toward the plateau Brotnjo and Grude about 200 meters.
With well-known karst Hercegovinian relief Ljubuski have more fertile fields: Ljubusko, Veljacko, Vitinsko and Studenačko field, Jezerac and Rastok, who irrigate three rivers Tihaljina - Mlade - Trebizat and its tributary Vrioštica, Studenčica and Lukoc. The center of the municipality of Ljubuski is the same name city Ljubuski, located on important roads towards Mostar (36 km), Makarska (55 km), Split (120 km), Dubrovnik (130 km) and Sarajevo (170 km).
Statistical information
Municipality of Ljubuski, according to the 1991 list has 28,340 inhabitants: Croats 94%, Bosnians 5% and 1% other, of which 4700 inhabitants have lived in town. Besides the city, there are 33 populated places, of which over 1000 residents have Radisic, Vitina, Klobuk, Humac, Grab, Veljaci i Studenci. The average annual temperature is 15.2 ˚ C, the warmest and most dry month is August, coldest and most rainy is January. Annual humidity in Ljubuski is 60 - 70%, with average 2600 hours of sunshine. Ljubuski is not rich in mining and mineral treasures except smaller finding of bauxite, limestone, dolomite, quartz, sand and clay. Almost half of the municipality area ofis under forest, of which most deciduous trees - oak, hornbeam, ash and drijen and periwinkle pine and spruce.

River Trebizat
By the richness of water flows ljubuski is peerless in Herzegovina. The main flow is a river Trebizat, whose most part flows through Ljubuski. From its spring in Pec-Mlini (Grude) to the delta of the river in Struga (Capljina) river is 50 km long. Trebizat is known as the three name river. From the spring in Pec-Mlini (Drinovci) to the Klobuk is called Tihaljina, from the spring Klokun to the delta of river Vrioštice is called Mlade, and from the Humac to the delta is called Trebizat.If Ljubusko field is connected with Imotski-bekijskim field, then Trebizat is five name river: Matica - Vrlika - Tihaljina - Mlade - Trebizat. Starting towards Posušje and higher horizon, then Trebizat is nine name river: Culuša - Ricina - Brin - Suvaja - Matica - Vrlika - Tihaljina - mlade - Trebizat. The water temperature in summer is 24-28 C, and during the winter is not freezing.
In the waters of Trebizat is many rapids, slides and waterfalls, and salmonidne fish.
Kocuša fall
At distance 12 km from Ljubuski and 3 km southwest of Vitina in vilage Veljaci is located on the river Trebizat fall Koćuša. After it went out of the plains below Klobuk,the river face obstacles - the solid limestone rock - and is coming off a height of 10 - 12 meters in width from 30 meters. Fall Koćuša has no major oscillations in the quantities of water during the year such as Kravice. Near the falls there are several old mills and pillars for rolling cloth and washing Gunja, whichsome of them still work.
Spring in Vitina
In Vitina, beneath a cliff of Mount Zelengora, flowing river Vrioštica. Vrioštice water is clear and cold, mostly moving around 12 C. Near to the spring, where people obtaining water for drink, was built small accumulation lake. Below the lake is a smaller park, which is crossed by channels with clean running water, and over them are the bridges for walking. Fresh Vitina spring during the summer isfavorite resort of tourists and locals.
Kravica waterfalls
The most attractive location of Trebizat is fall Kravica, three kilometers downstream from Vitaljina in Studenci near Ljubuski. Created by the Trebizat river, so as a natural phenomenon is under protection of the state as a natural curiosity. Falls heigh range from 26 - 28 meters, with water amphitheater diameter of 120 meters below the fall. From the bottom to the top of the fall has grown grass, moss and lichen. Near fall where konopljika, figs and poplars grown.Long time ago next to the fall were active many mills and stood for rolling cloth. For falls creating the most significant are bigar, tuff or travertine. It is in the water steadied limestone, which is constantly rising and raises travertine barriers creating waterfalls.among Trebizat such a falls creating rivers Pliva and Krka. Tuff is characteristic for the rivers rich in calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and is an indicator that water is not industrial and environmental waste.
